Privacy Policy On Personal and Non-personal Information

CCF is committed to protecting the privacy of our site users and maintaining the confidentiality of all collected personal information. When requesting information or services, subscribing to materials, making a donation or registering with CCF, personal information may be needed to completed these transactions and deliver the services or materials. Access to personal information will only be used by CCF staff to fulfill requests communicated by the user. Staff and service providers are required to maintain the confidentiality of personal information and are prohibited from unlawfully disclosing such information.

For those registering with CCF as a member, personal information such as contact details and medical information will be safeguarded. No personal information will be released without a member’s written approval. If, during the registration process, a member has given consent, a member’s contact details may be shared with other registered members for networking and support purposes. In addition, personal or medical information provided by a member for viewing on CCF’s member community pages will be available to any registered member with access to CCF’s password protected community pages. Generally, any provided medical information would only be used for internal analysis and presented in an aggregate format without any identifiable information.

CCF does collect non-personal, aggregated information to track site usage. This includes statistics showing the number of site visitors, requests for particular files on the site, the countries that requests are coming from, sites that users are coming from and going to, and browser and operating systems used. The collection of this information allows CCF to improve the site's content and scope.

CCF goes to great lengths to protect the confidentiality and integrity of any personal or credit card information submitted over the Internet. All transmitted information is stored on restricted database servers. Any personal information obtained will not be sold, rented, traded or released to any third party for commercial use without your permission. Credit card information obtained through CCF's on-line donation page is handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as payment card industry standards for the protection of such information. CCF's website employs the Secure Socket Layers (SSL) protocol for the encryption of transmitted data. SSL technology secures online transactions as well as protects the contents of messages and data exchanged between CCF and off-site database servers.
