Summer Camp AED Scavenger Hunt
Join the Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) and the American Camp Association (ACA) on a summer-long Scavenger Hunt to find automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in camps across the nation. Campers and staff are encouraged to join this national initiative to call attention to the importance of quickly locating an AED during a cardiac emergency. View press release.
The Camp AED Scavenger Hunt is fun and easy! Find an AED at your camp and take a selfie with the AED. Then post the photo with the hashtag #ProtectKidsHearts, including the camp name, state and AED location, on social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @ccfheartkids.
The CCF scavenger hunt highlights the importance of emergency preparedness and early defibrillation in an adverse cardiac event. Quick action and knowing the location of the nearest AED is key to survival when seconds count.
